Great Job at the Festival!

I am really proud of the great job that EMBK skiers did at the Bill Koch Festival. You were good sports, skied hard, and had fun with our guest skiers from around New England. You showed them what a great time we have skiing with our friends at LJM!

Our many parent and non-parent volunteers also deserve a special thanks for taking on the important jobs that made the Festival a big success. We received a lot of compliments for ensuring that out guests had a great time on snow and off, and that success is a result of our terrific volunteer team. And it was really cool to have Rob Bradlee and the CSU juniors running our classic waxing on such a complicated waxing day!

We are especially indebted to Kris Scopinich and Philip Walton, who put in countless hours organizing this event over the last nine months. Thank you Kris and Philip for you enthusiasm, managerial skills, and dedication to this project. You and your team should feel proud of all the happy skiers and parents who had a great weekend of skiing and play in Eastern Mass.

EMBK Sprints update

Conditions look good for the sprints! Some reminders:

Technique: Skate
2 Rounds – everyone skis twice (except lollipop). Best time counts.

8am Bib pickup opens
9am Lollipop race
Round 1: First race wave starts immediately after end of Lollipop race
Round 2 begins 15 minutes after end of round 1

Wax: This is a low fluoro race. Use low or no fluoro, Toko yellow or Swix CH8 or LF8

Practice 12/9 – update

The snow won’t be coming in time, so we will hold dry land practice as posted below. But forecast is promising so it looks like we will be on snow 12/16!
